Job Description

Do you love designing great user experiences and solving real problems that people at work face every day? As a UI/UX designer, you’ll work closely with Tempos product and engineering teams to design and develop solutions that resolve customers’ issues. The work goes beyond making things pretty as you will have to use your understanding of users’ needs and wants to guide your creativity. You will be doing user research and brainstorming to come up with unique features that are tailored to the users of the product.

The role involves:

  • Creating great user experiences that delight users while improving the bottom line.
  • Leveraging insights from various user research activities such as usability studies, focus groups, interviews, task analysis, etc. to form a deep understanding of user behaviors, needs and pain points.  
  • Involving the team in the design process, ensuring multiple perspectives are brought to the table and consensus is formed around the resulting designs.
  • Developing high quality designs that balance user needs, design priorities, and business goals.
  • Working with team on a core design system, from design to implementation
  • Prototyping designs and present to users and internal stakeholders for validation. Partnering closely with development team to ensure designs are successfully translated into product features.

The ideal candidate:  

  • Has an interesting track record in user experience design that demonstrates a solid understanding of design principles, interface design and standard UCD methods.
  • Has great experience of working on product design with a fast-paced, dynamic team. Delivers and can receive feedback and copes well with a high-demand, multi-tasking environment.
  • Has a strong understanding of visual design and user interface patterns
  • Has strong conceptualization and visual communication capabilities, drawing skills and sketchbook techniques. Is well well-versed in classic design principles and innovative design trends
  • Has strong English written and verbal communication skills
  • Is accustomed to validating designs by leveraging qualitative and quantitative feedback in the creative process such as usability testing, A/B testing etc.
  • Commands a range of design tools for creating designs of appropriate fidelity, such as Sketch, InVision, Photoshop, Illustrator, Balsamiq Mockups etc.
  • Has basic understanding of HTML/CSS. The capability of delivering designs in production ready HTML/CSS is a plus.
